Mon scanner est mort depuis 1 mois. En fait, j’ai changé d’ordinateur parce que le précédent a claqué après presque 8 ans de bons et loyaux services et avec le nouveau, impossible d’utiliser mon scan car la maison qui le fabriquait a mis la clé sous la porte voici quelques années. Donc il n’existe aucun pilote pour rendre l’appareil compatible avec Windows Vista. Saperlipopette !
Du coup, en attendant de recevoir un nouveau scan — je suis aussi pauvre que Job —, je n’ai rien dessiné depuis. Mais c’est le mois d’Asami. Aussi vais-je sortir de mon placard secret une illustration faite quelques mois plus tôt que j’avais réservée au doujin — qui d’ailleurs en est toujours à un état végétatif. Mais au final, je pense que je ne pourrai pas caser cette image dedans comme je ne lui vois plus de lien avec ce que j’ai en tête. Plutôt que de la laisser moisir dans son coin, autant en faire profiter mes camarades fans de Yamane-sensei.
This is just a black and white Asami drawing. My scanner died a month ago. In fact, I’ve changed my computer as the previous one pegged out after nearly 8 years of true and tried services and with the new ‘puter, it’s impossible to use my scan because the company producing it switched out the lights a few years ago. So there’s no compatible driver with Windows Vista. Golly!
Hence, while waiting to get a new scanner—I’m as poor as Job’s turkey— I haven’t drawn anything since then. But it is Asami’s month. So I’m going to bring out of my secret closet an illustration made a few months ago and initially reserved to the doujin—for that matter it’s till in a vegetative state. But in the end, I think I won’t be able to fit it into the doujin as I can’t see anymore its connection with what I have in mind. I might as well share it with my comrades Yamane fans rather than let it rot.

Another day indulging my Yamane addiction. Once more, I couldn’t spend 24 hours without thinking of Viewfinder. And may will be Akihito’s month. I really should pick up my doujin again and muster up all my strength to finish it.
