Another day indulging my Yamane addiction. Once more, I couldn’t spend 24 hours without thinking of Viewfinder. And may will be Akihito’s month. I really should pick up my doujin again and muster up all my strength to finish it.
So far, I’ve just muster enough willpower to redo the first page. When I first started the doujin, I thought it’d be fun. But I didn’t take into account my annoying streak for perfection. So only at 4 pages, I was very dissatisfied with my writing and sketching. Why the hell am I so weird?
I’m French still I can’t think in French when visualizing Yamane-sensei’s work. I’ve read all her mangas in English, so I can only think of them in English. I’ve tried redrawing my pages so that they’d be read from left to right, but my mind just naturally revert to the Japanese right to left reading way.
And I’ve forgotten that I’m a slow writer. I can’t write properly in English but in French, I’m such a nitpicking writer I even get fed up with myself. How ***ed up I am!
In all this mess, I’ve only kept the one depiction I’ve made of Saint Basil from my first version of Still Night. Maybe I should be less ambitious. Maybe I should only think one page after another rather than wanting to draw many pages at once. This way, the doujin might advance… maybe.
( >__< ) Enough complaining!
Back to more encouraging things. So, for the Yamane rabid fangirls — and fanboys? — I’m bringing you 4 new banners.
